Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
During my appearance on SAS Who Dare Wins S8, I had the fortune to meet Beccy Shaw, and was really moved by her story and the awful tragedy that saw her and her partner Lee's two-year-old daughter lose her battle with cancer.
With so many Charities and worthy causes out there, it can be hard to choose one over another but any charity that helps innocent children who are suffering certainly gets my support.
Although not every story can have a happy ending this hospital is at the cutting edge of treatment for childhood illnesses of all kinds and supports over 600 children and their families every year, performing life-changing surgeries around 30 times per day.
Whilst the day-to-day running of the hospital is funded by the NHS the research work and family support are all funded by donations.
This is why from now on, my fundraising will be in the support of Great Ormond Street Hospital, through the Darcey Leigh Shaw's Brighter Future Fund where every penny raised will actually be a big enough contribution to help to make a difference.
