Rowing 21 miles for Hannah

Jennifer Quinn is raising money for Derian House Children's Hospice
In memory of Hannah Faith Green

The Great River Race · 20 September 2025

Derian House Children's Hospice provides specialist care and respite to children and young people with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We cover the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2024 the cost to us stands at over £6m.

Story

Last year, on the 15th November 2024, my best friend’s 8-year-old daughter, Hannah Faith, died suddenly of a brain arteriovenous malformation (AVM). In the weeks that followed, a small local charity, Derian House, stepped in and provided Ruth and Ben with what small comfort they could, and in the months since have been an enormous support.

On Saturday 20th September, I will be raising money for Derian House and partaking in the Great River Race: a 21.6 mile row along the Thames from Canary Wharf to Richmond.
