Story
On Sunday 18th October, Eloise, Lydia, Qui-anna, Marilla, Maj and Aimee from The Royal Holloway swim team are taking part in the Woking Rotary Swimathon to help raise money for White Lodge Centre!
The Swimathon has been running for almost twenty years and has raised more than £250,000 for local charities and for the first year White Lodge is one of these charities. Every year hundreds of local people come together to swim, raise sponsorship and support organisations that provide essential care and practical help to those who need it most.
White Lodge is a charity in Chertsey and they support children, young people and adults with disabilities to live fuller and more independent lives. Eloise and Lydia visited White Lodge for a tour of their facilities and were able to see the amazing work White Lodge does in action! The support includes physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, short breaks, specialist care and rehabilitation, as well as creating opportunities for fun, friendship, and inclusion.
It costs over £3 million a year for White lodge to run their services, so any donations really does make a difference.
Please help me make a difference by sponsoring our swim. Every donation, large or small, helps local charities like White Lodge continue their invaluable work.
Thank you for your support!
