Story
This Autumn, Regenerate are opening their second Feel Good Coffee House, an amazing project that will help transform the lives of local young people.
To support this, I’ll be jogging/running 135 kilometres (84 miles) along Hadrian’s Wall Path, from the North Sea at Tynemouth to the Irish Sea at Bowness-on-Solway — over just 5 days! 🏃♂️
That’s roughly 30km a day, and training to run consecutive days is definitely taking its toll on my body.
(Although, what does my body know anyway? )
I love getting involved in Regenerate adventures, and when I was first asked if I wanted to join others on a walk Coast to Coast, my immediate answer was no — especially as I’m running the Athens Marathon in November.
Then I had what I can only describe as a moment of clarity / madness and thought…
Why not run it?
It’ll be great training for Athens, I’ll still get to be involved in another Regenerate fundraising adventure, and it’s for a fantastic cause.
Of course, there is the small possibility that I’ll be limping into the Irish Sea rather than running… but we’ll worry about that when we get there!
Embrace the madness. 🏃♂️
If you'd like to support Regenerate and help make the new Feel Good Coffee House happen, I'd be incredibly grateful.
135km. 5 days. Hadrian’s Wall. What could possibly go wrong? 😬
Regenerate and Feel Good work locally with young people who are facing barriers to finding work. They offer employment, training, and mentoring, helping young people build the confidence and skills they need to succeed. They're all about seeing potential, getting to know each young person as an individual, and supporting them in a meaningful way. Their 2nd coffee shop will grow this work and allow them to reach more young people who are in desperate need of support.
Please sponsor me on my journey to raise funds for this vital service. It’s a cause really close to my heart, and one worth taking on such an immense challenge for!
