At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

I have always wanted to set myself a real Challange and have been looking for something suitable. I was 60 last December so when I found out the Thames Path Challenge was a 60 mile continuous walk from Putney in London overnight to Henley on Thames, it seemed perfect. While doing it I wanted to raise money and chose Young Lives vs Cancer formerly CLIC Sargent an organisation that provides dignity and independence to young people who are living through the hardships of cancer.

I am doing it in memory of Bradley the son of a family friend who lost his battle with bowel cancer at the age of 23. Bradley was a full of fun character but was also generous and chose to dedicate his last birthday to fundraising for Clic, raising in excess of £2000 in way of saying thanks for the support he was given.
