I'm taking part in the Yomp Mountain Challenge, raising funds for Dreamland Education Centre (DEC) in Kimilili, western Kenya. I'll be doing the 20km fell race on 14th June.

For over 20 years this amazing primary school in a rural part of Kenya has been a place where children are given a chance to thrive, learn, and play in a safe environment. Through the education they receive, they have a chance of going on to secondary school and then potentially college or university and the chance of getting a well paid and respected job. This is just a dream for many children in this part of Kenya where many families only survive through subsistence farming.

The school needs to make some significant improvements and refurbishment of its facilities in order to meet growing demand. They plan to repair the main playground, refurbish a water storage tank and build a bigger kitchen and dining room, ready for an increased intake of students following changes to the Kenyan education system.
