Story
I’ve decided to take on the Fit February challenge and cycle 100 miles to raise vital funds for Kidneys For Life. Our eldest child was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD) at just 2 years old. This diagnosis has led to countless hospital visits for clinics and blood tests etc, along with numerous hospital stays due to infections. As we look ahead, it is likely that he will need dialysis and/or a kidney transplant in the future.
Fit February is a perfect opportunity to support Kidneys for Life while also focusing on my fitness. The challenge is to run, walk, cycle, scoot, swim, or use a treadmill for 50 miles during the month of February; however, I have decided to push myself further by aiming for 100 miles instead.
I invite you to support me as I take on this challenge and help raise vital funds for this incredible charity. The research team at the UK's largest renal unit is working tirelessly to find ways to make a kidney 'for life' a reality. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
