Story
In 2017, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a lifelong condition that I’m learning to manage. While I’ve experienced long periods of good health, I’ve also had several flare-ups along the way—each one progressively worse than the last. In an effort to regain control, I made some lifestyle changes
A combination of sobriety and running has had a profound impact on my physical and mental well-being, significantly reducing my flare-ups. Now, I’m in pursuit of completing my first-ever marathon in Edinburgh on May 25th, 2025.
Training is going well, and I’m excited to take on this challenge—not just for myself, but to raise money for Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.
Why This Matters!
Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with Crohn’s or Colitis, and the real number could be almost double that. These diseases are painful, debilitating, and often misunderstood—causing thousands of people to suffer in silence due to stigma and lack of awareness.
But they’re not alone.
The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is working to improve diagnosis and treatment, fund critical research into a cure, and provide support, awareness, and hope to those affected.
How You Can Help!
If you can, please consider donating—every contribution, big or small, will help make a real difference in the lives of people living with Crohn’s and Colitis.
Thank you so much for your support!
