I’m taking part in the March 496km Challenge — running every single day for 31 days — followed by the Newport Marathon in April.

I’m doing this in honour of my dad. Throughout his difficult life after becoming paralysed, this incredible hospital charity supported him on several occasions. Now, I want to give back to the charity that meant so much to him — and also find the strength and motivation to push through these next two months of running.

We are also taking on the challenge of running the Newport Marathon and fundraising for the hospital charity as part of a team from the Ophthalmology Department at Royal Gwent Hospital.
