Story
Well folks, we're doing something monumentally stupid again, and I've signed up to do another charity run in aid of my beloved Chippy Theatre.
Last time it was 10km and it nearly killed me - this time it's a HALF MARATHON (which is TWO 10KMS - are you SERIOUS?!?!) and I am in arguably the worst shape of my life so the next few months trying to get ready for it are going to be a RIDE!
It would be great to get some of your hard earned cash if you're so inclined - there's some info below about what we do (i and why it's been my employer in some form for almost 15 years - but ultimately if you don't give me some money I'm doing this for literally no reason, and there's must be some reward.....RIGHT???
Why am I running to raise money for Chippy Theatre?
The Theatre has been at the heart of our town for 50 years and has a packed programme of live theatre, music comedy and of course panto; they also welcome over 300 young people, adults and people with disabilities every week to their Take Part courses in youth theatre, drama, dance and creative writing.
That's not all, The Theatre believe the arts are for everyone, and can benefit everyone, so they provide opportunities and create positive change in our our community by working in schools, supporting mental health, providing free opportunities to try out drama, arts and experience and get involved with theatre and drama.
