Story
This challenge is so much more than cycling 350 miles. It is a journey of hope, resilience, and standing beside those who feel they have no one else to turn to.
As the only female rider taking on this incredible challenge alongside my brothers and support sisters, I feel truly honoured to play my part in raising funds for the Sikh Helpline and the life-changing work they do every single day.
Every mile I ride has a purpose. It is for the person silently living with abuse. For someone struggling with their mental health behind a smile. For those experiencing domestic violence, facing hate, discrimination, or prejudice. It is for anyone who feels isolated, unheard, or believes they have run out of options.
No one should ever have to suffer in silence.
Sadly, stigma still prevents so many people from reaching out until they feel they have reached breaking point. For many, one phone call to the Sikh Helpline is more than just a conversation—it is the first moment they feel heard, believed, and supported. Sometimes, it can even be the difference between hopelessness and hope.
The 350 miles ahead will test me physically and mentally. There will be moments of exhaustion, aching legs, challenging climbs, and times when I’ll wonder how much further I can go. But those moments are temporary. They are nothing compared to the battles that so many people fight every single day, often without anyone knowing.
Whenever the road gets tough, I will remind myself why I’m riding. Every pedal stroke represents someone who deserves to know they are valued. Every mile is a reminder that kindness, compassion, and simply being there to listen can change — and even save — a life.
I am determined to persevere and complete every mile alongside my incredible team. Together, we will support one another through every challenge, celebrate every milestone, and keep moving forward with one shared purpose: ensuring that no one who reaches out for help ever feels alone.
If you are able to support me, whether it’s £5 or £500, every donation will make a genuine difference. Your generosity will help the Sikh Helpline continue providing confidential support to those who need it most, ensuring that every cry for help is answered with compassion, dignity, and hope.
This isn’t just my journey—it belongs to every person who has ever needed someone to listen, every family searching for hope, and every life that can be changed through the kindness of others.
Together, we can break the stigma. Together, we can bring hope where there is despair. Together, we can remind someone that they are never alone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me, supporting this challenge, and helping make a real difference. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement will carry me through all 350 miles.
