Story
Last year, our family’s world shifted pretty sharply when my sister Joanna was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive and life-limiting brain tumour.
Since then she’s had major brain surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and is now pursuing specialist immunotherapy treatment through her Brainstrust appeal.
There isn’t much I can do about the diagnosis.
But I can run 300km.
In April, I’ll be running the full Coast to Coast route — roughly 300km in 3 days, self-supported, carrying my own kit across the Lakes, Dales and North York Moors.
I’m joining Joanna’s fundraising team with my own page, raising money directly towards her appeal under Brainstrust to help fund her specialist treatment and associated medical costs.
It’ll be a long three days. That’s kind of the point.
If it raises money and keeps momentum behind her appeal, it’s worth it.
If you’re able to donate, thank you. If not, sharing the page or following along is just as appreciated.
Cheers
Sam
