Story
I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but here I am.
In September last year, I was diagnosed with a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive and life-limiting brain tumour. It came completely out of the blue and turned my world upside down overnight.
Since my diagnosis, I have undergone major brain surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible, followed by radiotherapy. I am currently continuing chemotherapy. I have faced each stage with determination, doing everything I can to give myself the best possible chance.
While I am still undergoing chemotherapy, there are no further treatment options on the NHS beyond this standard care.
After careful research and medical consultations, I am now hoping to access specialist immunotherapy treatment at a clinic in Germany. This treatment will start in March and will continue over several months. It focuses on stimulating my immune system to recognize and target tumour cells. While it is not a cure, it may extend my time and help preserve my quality of life.
The full programme, including travel and medical costs, is estimated to be around £100,000. We need to raise these funds straight away as my treatment starts the end of March, so every contribution in the coming weeks will make a critical difference.
I am asking for your help to give me a fighting chance, the opportunity to access this treatment and gain more precious time with the people I love.
If donating isn’t possible, sharing this page would mean so much.
Thank you for reading my story and for any support
