Story
I’m running to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital after our daughter Ada received life-changing care there following an epilepsy diagnosis and brain surgery.
Our daughter Ada began having seizures at just six weeks old. After being referred to Great Ormond Street Hospital, she was diagnosed with epilepsy and later underwent brain surgery at 18 months. Throughout every stage of Ada’s treatment, GOSH provided exceptional care, guidance, and reassurance for our whole family.
Running became my way of processing everything we were going through, and it continues to help me manage the emotional load of Ada’s journey. I’m taking on this marathon to give something back to the hospital that supported us at our most difficult time.
Funds raised will also support projects such as the new Children’s Cancer Centre currently being built at GOSH, ensuring that future generations of children and families receive the best possible care in facilities designed around their needs.
