Story
I’m taking on a firewalk on the 18th March to raise money for the National Coal Mining Museum, hopefully I can stay calm and overcome the fear!
Why a firewalk? Because if generations of miners could face real heat and danger underground, I can manage stepping across 6 metres of burning coals.
Many museums are doing more with less, and the gap between what they need and what they receive is growing. The National Coal Mining Museum preserves our mining heritage, shares the stories of the people who powered the nation, and helps future generations understand life down the pit. It’s a place full of history, community, and pride - and it’s now connecting our coal mining past to a cleaner energy future.
Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Thank you for supporting me in this challenge.
