As a North Wales Police Volunteer Police Cadet Unit we wanted to raise money for a charity local to our area and have fun together whilst doing that. As such we will be undertaking a Pier to Pier walk from Colwyn Bay to Llandudno on June 24th 2023. We chose the Blind Veterans UK as the charity we will be fundraising for which has a centre based in Llandudno.

Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-Servicemen and women to rebuild their lives after sight loss. They provide rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support to veterans regardless of how or when they lost their sight. They are there to help blind veterans regain their independence and live the life they choose.

4,245 blind veterans were supported by them in the past year

The date of our walk, Sat June 24th 2023, is significant as it is Armed Forces Day in the UK and this is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
