Sam's Challenge: Men Who Talk - International Men's Day - 100 x £100

Samuel Davies is raising money for MEN WHO TALK

5km a day for International Men's Day · 1 November 2025

We’re rallying 100 people to each raise £100 between now and International Men’s Day on Wednesday 19th November. Whether you join the team or support the fundraisers, you’ll help us expand our reach and create more spaces where men are supported.

Story

As the Founder of Men Who Talk, I know first hand how vitally important our services are to so many men, yet how difficult it is to find funding.

I'm a huge believer in getting stuck in, so to celebrate our first major fundraising campaign I will also be doing a challenge. Those who know me, know I've become a tad lethargic recently, so I'm challenging myself to run or walk AT LEAST 5km a day EVERY DAY from the 1st of November to International Men's Day on the 19th.

Your donations mean a huge difference not just to me, but to the hundreds of men we support each year. Thank you for your support!

A Challenge That Could Save Lives.

This November, I'm one of the 100 people raising £100 in support of Men Who Talk — a grassroots mental health movement changing how men connect and support each other.

Every year in the UK, over 6,500 people die by suicide — and 75% of them are men. These aren’t just numbers. They’re fathers, sons, friends, and colleagues.

Too often, men struggle in silence. The stigma around speaking up, outdated ideas of masculinity, and a lack of accessible support means many men don’t get help until it’s too late.

Men Who Talk is here to change that.
