I'm running the Shakespeare Marathon and Great Manchester Run in memory of two friends this Spring. I'd really appreciate your support for two amazing charities associated with their memory.

Tom and I went to school together- he was easy-going, funny and loved to take his top off after a pint. He was a man of great athletic feats- I've never seen a ball struck harder than the one he put past the coach at Brazilian Soccer Schools circa age 12, nor have I seen a human being move as fast as he did when making off with a beach ball in the early hours of the morning at YNOT music festival. Tom tragically lost his life to cardiac arrest whilst playing football in 2018 at the age of 23.

Set up in Tom's memory, The Tom Henson Charity is putting defibrillators into communities across the UK to ensure their ready availability in the event of cardiac arrest- a moment when every second really does count. Read more about their work here: https://www.thetomhensoncharity.co.uk/.
