Update 29.9.25.Less than a week to go!
A little personal update: just over three weeks ago, I experienced a TIA at work. Thanks to the incredible NHS treatment, I’m feeling well (though a bit more tired than usual!) and have been cleared to take part in the run.
I can’t drive for 4 weeks following a TIA, and my colleagues have been unbelievable — giving me lifts to hospital appointments, bringing me into work, and generally being the most supportive team I could ask for.
Training hasn’t gone to plan, so I won’t be chasing a time this year — but I will make it to the finish line!
At Hope, like many charities, we’re facing rising costs and growing demand for services, and have had to make some tough decisions. I’m incredibly proud of how the team continues to pull together through it all.
Thank you to those who have sponsored me si far. And if you’re on the sidelines this weekend, please give me a wave — I’ll need all the encouragement I can get! 💙🏃♀️
Seeing at I am 40 this year and it is Hope Rescue's 20th Anniversary, it seemed the right time to do a challenge!
I've been lucky enough to work at Hope since 2017 and am so proud to be part of such an amazing charity. In the last 12 months alone we have helped over 1000 dogs through our Rescue Centre and Hope in the Community programme, including Jude below, who was found as a terrified stray.

But increased costs and increased demand on our services pose challenges and we need support to ensure we can be here to help the most vulnerable dogs in our communities for many more years to come ❤️
