My name is Sarah Cobb, and I’m 20 years old. As well as numerous other lifelong conditions, I was born with a visual impairment.

My life changed overnight when I lost a significant amount of vision when I was only 16, and I reached out to LOOK for support.

I was matched with a LOOK mentor when I began to live independently at university, allowing me to share my experiences of being a visually impaired student. My mentor was incredibly supportive and understanding; I can honestly say being matched with a LOOK mentor was a life-changing experience.

To give something back to LOOK, and support the amazing LOOK Mentor partnerships, I will be taking part in the #MilesForMentoring fundraising Challenge, where I will be aiming to walk a minimum of 50 miles throughout the month of August.
