Stickler Syndrome UK aims to raise awareness of Stickler syndrome amongst the medical profession; promote the value of early diagnosis and help preserve vision, hearing and mobility (particularly the prevention of sight loss in children and adults).

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon with one of my best friends Catherine, aka Foxy, for Stickler Syndrome UK.

In 2016 both her and her middle daughter Bea, my Goddaughter, were diagnosed with Type 2 Stickler Syndrome. This is a genetic disorder that affects their eye sight and led to them both having retinal cryotherapy in 2017 at Addenbrooks Hospital. Since then Foxy has gone on to have other eye surgery under the specialist care of Mr Snead and his amazing team.
