Geaux Bald is a student fundraising organization run by second-year medical students at LSU Health Shreveport. This year, we invite you to Geaux Bald for Camp Tiger, a free, five-day camp for children and teens ages 5 to 18 years old living with physical and cognitive challenges! I had the privilege of being a Camp Tiger counselor last summer. It was such a fun experience for both the campers and counselors, and I am excited to be a counselor again this summer!

We look forward to a year of fundraising through our Tennis and Pickleball Mixer, Race for a Cause, and Sing for a Cause. Through these fundraising events, Geaux Bald also allows students and community members to come together on a regular basis for a great cause.

Our final event, Shave Day, serves as the culminating celebration after a fun-filled year of fundraising, where some of our fundraising students will honor patients by shaving their heads and/or cutting their hair for a donation. I set my fundraising goal at $500! For each $100 raised for this goal, I will cut one inch of hair on Shave Day!
