I am challenging myself to swim the mile distance for #TeamShootingStar in the Serpentine Lake at Hyde Park, London.

While I've done this before and swum further, this year will be a big push after 6 months' chemo (and the rest). Look and feel a bit different from this time last year and wasn't able to swim at all for five months so will have to see how I get on - not sure how numb feet will cope with cold water. Also that bit older!

I can only imagine what it must be like for a child/young person go through intensive treatment. Shooting Star Children's Hospices support the young patient and their families in very challenging situations.

Please help make every moment count for babies, children and young people, with life limiting conditions, and their families.
