Paddling for Burlington – One Mum, One Boat (Well, One of Sixteen!)

On Sunday 20th July 2025, I’ll be taking part in my very first Dragon Boat Race at Canbury Gardens – as one of 16 mums representing Burlington’s very first dragon boat team! None of us have ever done anything like this before, but together we’re training, paddling, and laughing our way toward race day.

We’re all parents at Burlington Infants and Juniors, and we’re taking on this challenge to raise money for the Burlington Schools Association – an amazing group that helps fund resources, enrichment activities, and improvements that directly benefit our children’s education and wellbeing.

As someone totally new to paddling (and honestly a bit nervous!), I’m stepping well outside my comfort zone – but it’s all for a cause I truly care about. I’d be so grateful for your support as I help our team make a splash for Burlington.
