Norfolk 83 mile Trek

Pathway to Progress
Campaign by PSPA (RCN England and Wales 1037087 / Scotland SC041199)
PSPA Pathway to Progress is a UK-wide virtual event where participants' collective distances walked, run, or cycled will be logged to cover 630 miles of the Southwest Coastal Path. Taking part will help raise awareness & funds for PSP & CBD.

Story

In July me, Simon and Zach are taking on a trek challenge and it’s 83 miles around the Norfolk coast from Hunstanton to Hopton on Sea and it’s in memory of my Dad as he loved family holidays on this coast line. It will be taking us 6 days and we will be taking and carrying all that we need in our back rucksacks for these days.

This July will be the ten year anniversary of his passing too and there is still no treatment or cure so people are still dying.

My dear Dad and our family were helped and supported on a personal level by the nurses and fundraising team at the PSP association. My Dad illness was a rare neurological and terminal illness called CBD where there is currently no treatment or cure so it took his life within 4 years.

(Please note this charity does not fund medical testing on animals)

We want to use this trek to help others with CBD and raise awareness plus celebrate our dear Dad/Grandad/Gerald and give thanks for such a wonderful man - we also want to support this charity who helped us so much

Thank you as always

PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to creating a better future for everyone affected by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration.

We will do this by: Providing information and support to enable families living with PSP & CBD to live their best possible lives; Improving the quality of life for people living with the condition via research and awareness raising; Putting the voice of the PSP & CBD community at the heart of what we do.
