Story
This year, my birthday means something very different to me.
I know this will be my last birthday, and while that’s not easy to say, it’s something I want to mark with purpose.
Over the 2 years, I’ve been cared for by the most incredible hospice team and nurses. Their support has gone far beyond medical care. They’ve given me comfort, dignity, reassurance, and kindness during moments when I needed it most. They’ve been there not just for me, but for my family too — quietly, patiently, and without judgement.
I truly cannot put into words how much their care has meant to me, and how much it continues to mean.
Instead of gifts this birthday, my wish is to give something back to the people who have helped me through this time. I’m raising money for the hospice and nurses who have supported me so that they can continue to be there for others — offering the same compassion, care, and humanity that they’ve shown me.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’ll be helping something incredibly special. And if you’re not able to donate, sharing this page or keeping us in your thoughts means just as much.
Thank you for helping me turn this birthday into something meaningful.
Thank you for supporting the people who make such a difference when it matters most.
With love,
Sarah
