Story
Three women. Three personalities. One crowded dancefloor for 12 hours straight… what could possibly go wrong?
Between us, one of us will probably overthink the outfits, one may take the odd tumble, and one might just need reminding what day we’re actually dancing… but together, we’re all in!
We’re taking on the Leeds Danceathon for Prevent Breast Cancer because breast cancer has affected people close to all three of us, so this feels very personal 🎀
We may not all have rhythm 💃
We may not all stay upright 🥴
But we’ll absolutely show up, give it everything, and have a lot of fun doing it 💪
Our target is £2,000 and we’d love to smash it for this incredible charity.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK for women. Every year, over 56,800 individuals are diagnosed – that is 156 people a day. Each year we lose 11,200 to this disease. For us, that is 11,200 too many.
Money raised will go towards the Prevent Breast Cancer Research Unit, a world-leading hub that will unite Manchester’s extraordinary research talent, extensive datasets and valuable biological samples to drive forward discovery, innovation and training in breast cancer prevention.
The Prevent Breast Cancer Research Unit will be the beating heart of prevention research, centralising resources, empowering researchers, training the next generation and accelerating the science that could one day make breast cancer a disease of the past.
