Gold Geese are a small charity caring for under 18s fighting cancer. "We fly together" to support Gold Families through their childhood cancer diagnosis and treatments. We raise awareness, provide gifts, support, days out or family memories and encourage blood/bone marrow donors.

Story

Each year the Affinity Group chooses a local charity to support and raise much needed funds for.

We look to support our clients and friends with Charity’s close to their hearts which in turn become close to ours.

In 2021 our clients and friends of the business Connor & Lauren suffered the tremendous loss of their daughter Nellie who was diagnosed with cancer and sadly lost her fight in 2021

The local charity Gold Geese played a huge part in their healing.

Gold Geese offer practical and emotional support to families of young people and children fighting cancer.

This included funding for mental health support, food shops, vouches, toys, gifts, weekend trips away and practical help with travel to and from hospital.

They also raise awareness of childhood cancer signs and symptoms by delivery of workshops to childcare practitioners and parents.

Along with our annual charity valentines ball, this year 7 wonderful people have decided to challenge themselves in climbing 3 mountains in 24 hours in support of such a wonderful charity.

Jamies Lewis (Managing Director, The Affinity Group) Samanatha Cross (Personal Protection Adviser, The Affinity Group), Dean Neagen ( Senior Mortgage Adviser, The Affinity Group) Nathaniel Lee (Managing Director, Business Protected) Mary Kearney (Associate, Business Protected) Mark Baptist (Protection Specialist, Alexander Hall) ) and Connor Lane, the proud daddy to Nellie Lane who lost her fight to Cancer in 2021, will all be climbing Ben Nevis, Skalell Pike and Snowden in July 2023 in a race against the clock 24 hour challenge.

Training has already commenced with gym sessions, walks and running up and down huge flights of steps in preparation.

Anything you can donate to make this event Affinity’s most successful yet would be greatly appreciated.
