With your help, over 1,000 local people living with a terminal diagnosis can be cared for by Birmingham Hospice at any one time. It costs over £16 million a year to fund our services, over 40% of which needs to be covered through fundraised income. That’s why the money you raise is so important; it ensures that our specialist care and support is available for more people and their families, at a time when they need it the most.

I work as a district nurse and care for those dying from this terrible disease in their own home. Giving a loved one the chance to take that burden away and be looked after in one of the beautiful hospices with the incredible staff is such a relieve for families and their loved ones. You may have seen BBC News recently highlight that a rising cost of living and decrease in donations is affecting hospices across the country. Hospice UK estimates that hospices will face up to £120 million of additional costs this year.
