Story
As a family we were shattered when my nephew passed away 6 weeks after his 2nd birthday. The support, advice and guidance Rainbows gave us in those dark days will be forever remembered.
Although James never got to stay at Rainbows, he was due to but passed very suddenly, Rainbows stepped in and supported us through the worst of days. James had Leukodystrophy and his short life was not an easy one. Seeing him pain free, just like he was sleeping, was the most amazing gift and the way I always remember him.
The support Rainbows gave our family was invaluable and I have seen first hand the light Rainbows can give when everything is very dark. Rainbows provided gentle, playful activities to help my nieces while protecting their childhood innocence. Our family spent time at Rainbows, painting and playing, the support was wide and everyone was welcomed and understood. The bereavement suite was just like a bedroom, with a sleeping little boy, and gave us some precious extra time together.
This hospice is not just about medical care, it is a true holistic approach that provides tailored support when the unthinkable happens.
