As a social worker in Rotherham, I have worked with this service and the staff for many years. They are so committed and offer a fantastic service to anyone in need. The limitations of the current service due to the roof are from no fault of their own and they are faced with trying to raise money to get the service back.

Shiloh's Story

The recent heavy rain came through our roof at Shiloh and caused significant damage to our building.

Water poured into our dining area – one of the busiest and most important spaces at Shiloh. It’s where our guests share meals, take part in activities, access practical support and meet with the different organisations that work alongside us.

Thankfully, Shiloh is still open.

Our team has worked incredibly hard to make the building safe, minimise further damage and find ways to keep our services running. But there is a lot of work ahead to repair and restore the affected areas (see additional photos of the damage in the gallery linked above).

Our initial estimate for the affected section of the roof alone is around £50,000, with additional costs likely for the internal repairs and restoration.

We are working with our insurers and contractors to establish the full extent of the damage and what will be covered. In the meantime, we are asking our community to help us weather the storm
