The Royal Artillery Charities

Standing Behind Every Gunner. For Life.

For more than 185 years, the Royal Artillery Charities have stood beside serving soldiers, veterans and their families when they need help most.

Every year we support over 1,100 welfare cases. Behind every one is a personal story. A veteran struggling to remain independent. A bereaved family facing an uncertain future. A serving soldier dealing with illness, injury or financial difficulty. Through grants, specialist support and practical assistance, the charities help individuals and families navigate some of life's toughest moments.

Our commitment is captured in a simple belief: “Once a Gunner, always a Gunner”.

Whether someone served for a single day or a full career, they remain part of the Gunner family, and we remain committed to supporting them.

But the charities do far more than provide help in times of crisis. We enable opportunity through sport, adventurous training and personal development activities. We strengthen the bonds between serving soldiers, veterans and families. We support the organisations and events that keep our Regimental family connected. And we help preserve more than 300 years of Royal Artillery heritage for future generations.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of people who care about the Gunner community.

The Senior Instructor’s Challenge is designed to increase awareness of, and raise funds for, the Royal Artillery Charities.

The Troop Commanders before you have 30 hours to work in small teams to plan and complete a number of successful challenges (overleaf) designed to promote the values of these amazing charities.

Please support their endeavours as well as you are able!
