Story
I'm excited to be fundraising for Tŷ Hafan Children's Hospice by taking part in an epic 11-day challenge to Machu Picchu taking place in spring 2027.
Ty Hafan were wonderful with our Aled, he had such wonderful times there, loving the sensory room, rocking chair and the music room. It was a place where I could stay and just be his mum. Not his nurse. I could have a break and he was so well looked after. Kyle his brother also loved visiting and he was spoilt. After we lost our Aled, Ty Hafan was fundermental in our healing process. They were extremely supportive and the support the showed Kyle was exceptional, supporting him to understand and grieve. When I had my daughter Rhiannon, Kyle and Rhiannon have enjoyed the sibling get togethers through the years. The services they hold in Ty Hafan are also a way that helps us with our grief.
More families need to be able to have access to Ty Hafan.
Tŷ Hafan are currently only able to reach 1 in 10 families across Wales who so desperately need their support which is one of the reasons why I'm taking on this challenge so that when a child's life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own.
Thank you so much for your support!
