This year I'm running the Great North Run in aid of Asthma + Lung UK.

I am running for this Charity after my wife Carol became seriously ill with a lung infection , which resulted in her spending time in intensive care on a ventilator in 2022.

In addition my father In law is currently undergoing treatment for lung cancer.

Also in loving memory of Derek Armstrong a close friend who i have worked for over the past 19 years and spent many a day on the golf course who suffered with breathing difficulties but never gave in . A true role model.

They are the only UK charity that fights for everyone's right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
