Simons wife Carol became seriously ill with a lung infection , which resulted in her spending time in intensive care on a ventilator in 2022. In addition his father In law is currently undergoing treatment for lung cancer.

Jonathan's Father and founder of Tyne Valley Motorhomes Derek Armstrong also a close friend of Simon's sadly passed away earlier this year. Derek suffered for most of his life with bronchiectasis and later in life COPD and pulmonary fibrosis but never gave in. A true role model.
