Story

Hello my name is Simon Cook and in April 2026, I will be taking part in The TCS London Marathon to raise money for MS-UK.

I am doing this in loving memory of my Mother-in-Law and my wife Kate's brave Mum, Georgie. Georgie was diagnosed with MS in 1997 and after a long battle with MS sadly passed away two years ago.

Watching and living closely to the challenges that MS presents was challenging and sad at times and so, supporting MS UK and doing something positive is so important and an inspiration for me to run the Marathon, as well as being a positive legacy for Georgie's memory.

Georgie was an inspiration in the way she faced MS with bravery, resilience and positivity and until later years she remained active and healthy enjoying tennis, aerobics and skiing.

MS-UK is a national charity dedicated to empowering people affected by multiple sclerosis to live happier and healthier lives. They work to improve the understanding of MS and provide support where it is needed most. Their services include a helpline, providing information and emotional support, online activities, information booklets and a bi-monthly magazine New Pathways.

Every donation makes a huge difference and I would like to thank you so much for your support!

All best,

Simon
