We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Alan was a much loved Deputy Head at South Wirral High School, remembered fondly by generations of staff and students. Alan passed away on 10th March, aged 88.

I am running the Manchester Marathon in April and raising money for the Alzheimer's Society, which is the Favager family's preferred charity.

I also feel a personal connection to the Alzheimer's Society as my own father was affected by the disease in his later years.

In the last few weeks of training my friend Trevor Taylor lost his wife Joan after 8 years of suffering with Alzheimer’s. Trevor has given me a target of 4 hours and 15 minutes. That is certainly a challenge!

Thanks for your support, if you feel able to contribute.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
