Story
This September, I'm very proud to be taking part in Ziggurat 2026 – The Ride for the Construction Industry.
Many of you will know that Ziggurat has become a fantastic annual event that brings together people from across the construction and built environment sectors who share a passion for cycling, networking, and supporting a truly worthwhile cause.
This year is particularly special as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event with what promises to be the most spectacular route yet. Alongside around 70 riders from across the industry, I'll be cycling from Bilbao to Madrid, crossing the stunning Basque countryside, tackling rolling hills, challenging mountain climbs and covering hundreds of kilometres over four days.
While the scenery will be incredible, it certainly won't be easy. The route includes more than 5,700 metres of climbing, which will push all of us well outside our comfort zones. However, it's a challenge worth taking on because we're riding to support an exceptional charity.
Action Medical Research is the UK's leading charity dedicated to funding vital research that helps sick and disabled babies, children and young people. Over the past 70 years, it has played a key role in some of the most important medical breakthroughs, helping to combat polio and meningitis, reducing stillbirths, and developing ultrasound scanning during pregnancy. Today, the charity continues to fund pioneering research into premature birth, rare diseases and other life-changing childhood conditions.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund research that can improve and save young lives. By supporting this ride, you'll be helping Action Medical Research continue its vital work and give hope to children and families facing enormous challenges.
I would be incredibly grateful for any support you can give. Thank you for helping me contribute to such an important cause and make a real difference to children's lives.
Thank you for your generosity and encouragement.
