Story
We did it !
It was a very special day, for a very important cause
The Shilton Storm ran 42km in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK for our Dad, Rodney. It was hard, no doubt, but not as hard as what sufferers and their carers/loved ones have to live every day dealing with this devastating disease.
We are so grateful for an extraordinary experience from beginning to end.
So if you can, please donate and help us raise just a bit more #foracure
Thank you to all those that sponsored, supported and loved us along this journey.
15 years after our first marathon together, The Shilton Storm — Simon, Danielle and Naomi — reunited for the Sydney Marathon on Sunday 30th August.
The last time we ran, it was in memory of our brother Christopher. This time, we’ll be running to make memories, supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK, one of the world’s leading dementia research charities. They’re working to revolutionise the way dementia is treated, diagnosed and prevented — and with your support, they’ll keep going until everyone is free from the heartbreak of dementia. They exist for a cure.
Our wonderful dad, Rodney, has been diagnosed with dementia, and we also watched our beautiful Grandma May live with Alzheimer’s. This cause means so much to us.
So, 35 years after we lost our brother, we’ll be doing our Shilton best to honour him and to support a team dedicated to transforming the lives of everyone affected by dementia — including our loved ones and yours. #TeamARUK
We would love for you to help us help Alzheimer’s Research UK
Thank you
Love from Simon, Danielle and Naomi xx
