As part of our annual deployment programme GOHF has chosen Gambia as our next country for hands on aid distribution. The team will be flying out in the coming months to fulfil this campaign.

We are a 100% donation charity and so is this campaign, meaning every penny of your donations will go towards the cause you have donated to, none of your donations will neither go towards marketing nor administration costs.

All travel expenses such as flights, transportation & accommodation is self funded by the volunteers.

GAMBIA

The Gambia. The Gambia is one of the least developed countries across the world with 48% of its population currently living in poverty.

Gambia is facing rising hunger, poverty and malnutrition. Major crises such as the Ebola outbreak and climate-related drought and floods have all taken their toll on the country’s economy.

The economy of the Gambia is heavily reliant on agriculture. The Gambia has no significant mineral or other natural resources, and has a limited agricultural base. About 75% of the population depends on crops and livestock for its livelihood.

Climate-related crises continuously hurt the availability and price of food, pushing more and more families into hunger.
