Story
At dawn, the hill is quiet. No applause. No finish line. Just a winding path and the sound of steady breath. Each step burns a little. Legs ache. Doubt creeps in. But still, the climb continues, because this journey isn’t really about reaching the top.
With every step uphill, I am thinking of children who should be running, playing, and laughing, not struggling against a disease that the world already knows how to stop.
Polio once silenced millions of young lives. Today, it survives only in pockets, not because it’s unbeatable, but because the final steps are the hardest, just like this climb.
That’s why I am trekking 10 km of the Chiltern Hills, organised by Rotary Watford, and need your generous support. Every pound of your donation is another step taken. When I reach the summit, I’ll look back and know this climb mattered, not for the view, but for the lives lifted along the way.
Rotary Watford will fund vaccinations, healthcare, and the final global effort to end polio forever.
Help us take these steps.
Help Rotary Watford finish the climb.
Help end polio, once and for all.
