Story
Hi everyone,
This March, I’m committing to crocheting everyday, which is hilarious because—as anyone who knows me can attest—finding a spare five minutes in my day is a miracle in itself. To make things even more interesting, I only picked up a hook for the first time in January. I’m currently at the "is this a blanket or a collection of very confused coasters?" stage of learning, but I’m diving in headfirst for a cause that means everything to me.
I’m doing this to raise vital funds for bowel cancer research. This disease has hit very close to home recently, and it’s heartbreaking to watch the people you love suffer. If my beginner stitches can help fund a cure and spare another family that pain, I’ll happily tangle myself in yarn every single day.
Bowel cancer UK are the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.
They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
The project I have chosen is a Sunflower granny square blanket... Apparently granny squares are easy but they are the one thing I really struggle with! I'll be keeping you all up to date!
Thanks everyone for your support 💕
