Gaza Winter Walk is back for its 16th year in a city near you!

The Manchester walk will take place on Saturday 23rd December at 11am, Heaton Park.

Deadly attacks on Gaza have claimed the lives of over 20,000 Palestinians, 10,000 of those being children. Hospitals across the Gaza Strip are under immense pressure to aid all the survivors who have been subject to airstrikes since 7th October.

Currently, a humanitarian disaster in Gaza is worsening by the hour with most of its 2.3 million people homeless and trapped in a tiny, embattled coastal enclave, with little food, water, medical care, fuel or secure shelter.

Due to the blockade imposed on Gaza since 7th October, supplies of fuel are almost exhausted. There are also shortages of food, water, and medicines, as the number of aid trucks crossing into Gaza each day is less than one-fifth of what the UN says is needed.

Prior to this escalation in the conflict, 68 percent of Palestinians lived below the poverty line and had come to rely on humanitarian aid from organisations like Muslim Hands.

Families in Gaza, already struggling because of the 16-year-long blockade, were further devastated by attacks in Ramadan 2021 and again in Ramadan 2022 and Ramadan 2023.
