I've set myself the challenge to swim outdoors 50k over the months of January- March.

Why am I swimming 50k outside in the winter?

The church we are part of, are fundraising to be able to purchase the building we are meeting in (and the house we are living in!) We love our church family and the community we are in. We are so excited to see the work that God is doing and are excited to see the work we trust he will continue to do.

Many of you probably know I love an outdoor swim. However this will be a big challenge to swim this distance in this time frame, I'm much more of a slow and steady plodder!

Being realistic, I probably won't be able to get to do the distance in just lakes (too cold and unsafe) so will also swim in lido's too.

For the past year Turkey Street Community Church has been meeting in a disused Mission Hall on Turkey Street. Already the church has a growing congregation that meets on Sunday mornings, and they regularly welcome in people who live on the estate to join them. They run Bible Studies, support groups, and community meals.

Turkey Street Community Church has been renting the hall from London City Mission, but the building needs to be sold. London City Mission has granted Together For Mission an exclusive three-year lease with an option to purchase the site which consists of a church hall, and a house which has already been renovated.

I am raising money to help raise the money needed to purchase the building for Turkey Street Community Church!
