Hackney Half Marathon 2026 · 17 May 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Every year, thousands of young Londoners are pushed into homelessness and danger through no fault of their own. That’s why New Horizon Youth Centre exists. Team New Horizon are running the Hackney Half to help give young people's potential a home.

Story

On 17th May, I’ll be taking on a half marathon to support New Horizons Youth Centre, a charity that provides vital support for young people facing homelessness and hardship.

I have a fundraising goal of £300 and every donation big or small will make a real difference.

Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement—it truly means a lot as I take on this challenge!

Sophie :)

Last year 136,000 young people asked for help from their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness. Moreover, young people are the *fastest growing* age group of rough sleepers in London.

New Horizon provides the only youth-specific rough sleeping outreach service and the only youth-specific homeless day centre in London, where young people from all across London and the world can access our holistic support and find a sense of community. New Horizon is open to any young person that walks through their doors seeking a safe place to call home.

Thank you for your support.
