Story
In September, we will be taking on something a bit special which will be known as S.A.S.H (Step Along in Sasha’s Honour).
This will be a relay-style walk along the length of the River Wye (250km), starting on Friday 4 September with one group starting at the source of the River Wye in mid-Wales, and one group starting at the mouth of the River Wye at Chepstow. Both groups will converge in Ross-on-Wye on Sunday 13 September.
Why are we doing this?
The relay-style challenge is in memory of Sasha Nelson, who we sadly lost a few months ago.
Sasha meant a huge amount to many people, and this feels like a fitting way to come together, do something positive and support a cause linked to her.
We will be raising money for Sarcoma UK. They are a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.
Thank you for your support.
