Steph is running the London Marathon for Ambitious about Autism

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Autism is a life long developmental disability that affects 1 in 100 people. It affects the way a person communicates and how they see the world around them.
My 3 year old nephew, Haran, was diagnosed with autism early on and it is likely that his complex needs will have a lifelong impact on his development. Life can be challenging for him, and for his parents, sister and family - but he is deeply loved and cherished and invites us all to see the world differently. Haran encourages me to be gentle, compassionate and curious - and much more!
Ambitious about Autism is the National Charity for autistic children and young people championing their rights and creating opportunities. They stand with autistic children and young people by providing services, raising awareness, understanding and by campaigning for change.
I was lucky enough to get a ballot place for the TCS London Marathon (the first time I've ever entered it!!), but I'm raising money for Ambitious about Autism because they need all the help they can get....and so will we.
As a family, we will 'never say never' when it comes to dreaming dreams for Haran, and for his future. But we will need the support of charities like Ambitious about Autism, who put children and young people like Haran front and centre. Please give as generously as you are able. Your donations, thoughts and prayers will undoubtedly spur me on, as I make my way around the course on 27th April.
I am so grateful for your support!
