Story
The housing crisis is a national emergency. Right now, thousands of people are trying to get by without a safe place to call home.
That's why I am taking on the Scafell Pike Sunrise Hike for Shelter.
People that know me, know that I am not the most active person in the world, and certainly not a mountain climber. I have done my first training hill walk today and it was well hard. Lucy did not seem over enamored of it either lol. In 5 weeks, I will walk up Scafell Pike because it seemed like a good idea at the time. I will be putting in several more training walks between now and then and will post pictures to update on how the training is going.
If you are in a position to donate to my just giving page, I would be most grateful for any donation no matter how small. I am fortunate to have amazing friends, who have never let me get to the point of homelessness. I want to do this to help others.
Shelter believe that a safe home is a fundamental need and basic moral right. Every four minutes, a family in England is made homeless. Shelter exists to defend the right to a safe home as they work across Lancashire and the UK to support those needing to secure homes that are safe, affordable, suitable and accessible.
Home is everything.
