In Early August this year, my son, Marley picked up both routine chicken pox and scarlet fever at the same time. Marley's infection got so bad he had cellulitus and was a few hours away from major surgery. The team at Macclesfield Children's Ward were incredible throughout the whole process. Marley was kept in hospital for 5 days and then had to visit every other day for a further 6 weeks.

Raising money for the ward feels really close to mine and Charley's hearts and we cannot thank the hospital enough for the constant and careful care they took with Marley to get him better.

Marley really was in the best hands and we'd like to raise money to show our appreciation for the wonderful work the team here do.

On October 15th we will be running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for this incredible ward. I will be aiming to complete this half marathon in as close to 1 hour 30 minutes.
