The date marks 18 months since my wife's life was saved due to a live kidney transplant.
Justine found out she had the hereditary disease at the age of 13. Living with the thought that she would not live past 60. With her father passing away at 61 after two failed kidney transplants, her uncle at 42 grandfather at 38 and her sister at 52,
Justine’s cousin Lisa, who also has PKD, and of similar age, entered into the live kidney donation pool, having her transplant from a donor in Edinburgh, at Plymouth’s Deriford Hospital, early March '25. With her husband Mark, she too will also be taking part in the climb.
